Zenith -Inter School Mega Event

New Green Field School, Alaknanda hosted its Inter School Mega Event – Zenith 2019 on May 1 and 2, 2019. Zenith – where knowledge transcends, inspires the adoption of innovative pedagogical practices that utilize the existing and emerging trends for nurturing both creative thinking and 21st century skill and competence with an aim to churn out global citizens.

The gamut comprised six competitions namely – Economic Quora, Hand-On-Tile, Genius of Poesy, Bio Symposium, Youth Parliament and Reporting Mania. A number of eminent schools of South Delhi participated in this annual fest.

Bio-Symposium titled, ‘ Transgenes Promise Better Means’ was adjudged by Ms. Shachi Sharma, Scientific Project Manager at IIT Delhi. The first position was bagged by Summer Field School and Gyan Bharti emerged on the second position. Economic Quora led to the designing of Economic newspaper. Its content was to be prepared on Indian Economy, International Finance, Stock Market and Share Price, etc. The first position went to Gyan Bharti and the second position was acquired by the host school. St. George’s School, Alaknanda was ajudged first and the host school won the second position in the Genius of Poesy – on the spot poetry composition and recitation.

 Youth Parliament gave an insight to the parliamentary procedure. It also developed respect and tolerance for the views of others. NGFS, Saket bagged the fist position. The best debater in opposition was won by Zainab Fatima and the best debater in Ruling went to Riya Arora from St.George’s School, Alaknanda. Hand-on-Tile is an activity related to interior decoration, was adjudged by Dr. Nandana Acharjee. The first position was bestowed to St. George’s Team and the second rank was claimed by Gyan Bharti Public School, Saket. Reporting Mania involved discovering all relevant details, facts and wearing a comprehensive story. The event was judged by Ms. Vandana Tandon , a veteran of conducting Workshops associated with NIE. The first prize was won by Megha Bose from Summer Field School.

The Valedictory Ceremony culminated the event. The overall trophy was bagged by  Summer Field School, Kailash Colony.
