Earth Day

NGFS, Alaknanda celebrated Earth Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. A special assembly conducted by class V began with a thought to convey the message about little ways to take care of our Mother Earth. A thought provoking skit was performed by the students highlighting the importance of fighting climate change. Little Earth buddies expressed their views poetically by reciting a poem based on the theme “Nurture the Nature”. Students took a pledge to preserve and conserve self sustaining planet Earth. A tree plantation programme was held within the school premises wherein children planted saplings, watered them and learnt how afforestation was important for our Eco system. A plethora of activities were organised in school. Poster making, slogan writing based on the theme of Earth Day 2024 - ‘Planet Vs Plastic’, Poem recitation, bug hunting- exploring the blissful nature, were some of the activities performed. Our environmental conservationist contributed their best to create maximum awareness and impact.
