New Green Field School, Alaknanda celebrated its Annual Sports Day on the 75th Republic Day with great zeal and fervour. The programme took off with the flag hoisting of the tricolour by the Principal followed by the lighting of the torch. The torch bearers were the sports stars of the school who have brought laurels to the school in various sports activities. The Inter-House march past by class IX was all about team work and synchronization. The Yoga and Taekwondo students demonstrated their proficiency teeming with enthusiasm and energy winning the hearts of all. The colourful drills displayed grace, efficiency and unspoken co-ordination. The competitive spirit reached greater heights, happy cheers with the relay race, hurdle race, Tug of War etc. the joys of winning and pride of having put in their best.
The fun filled Annual Sports Day came to an end with the announcement of the trophy for Chetak House adjudged the Best House of the session. It was a day when the participants celebrated strength, speed and stamina and the non-participants exhibited energy, enthusiasm and excitement.
