New Green Field School, Alaknanda celebrated Grandparents’ Day on 12 December, 2023 in the school premises. The primary wing paid their sincere tribute to the values their grandparents inculcate in them, bonds they share with their grandkids and the blessings they shower on the entire family.
Honourable Mrs. Protima Parbhakar, the Chairperson of NGF Educational Society, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Mr. N.K. Sharma, the School Manager attended the event as the Guest of Honour.
The programme titled ‘Indradhanush’ depicted all colours of the rainbow showcasing the qualities each colour represents. After the ceremonial lamp lighting, the show was unveiled with the invocation of Lord Ganesha signifying spirituality in the Violet colour. Lauding the wisdom, tradition and rich experience which the grandparents bring in life Principal Mrs. Nidhi Chauhan presented the annual report about the consistent growth of the school highlighting various milestones achieved in academic and co-curricular domains. The play ‘Parakh’ highlighted the colour Indigo depicting reverence for elders and appreciating their wisdom, knowledge and rich experience. ‘Shaurya Gaatha’ and ‘Kesari’ conveyed the message of love and respect for the country. The ‘Nritya Sangam’ and ‘Euphoria’ were an array of rhythm, jubilance and celebration. The ‘Sur Taal’ was a soulful rendition of warmth and gratitude expressed towards the elderly. The ‘Grandfinale’ was indeed a treat to the eyes with its culmination of vibrant colours of the Indradhanush spreading the message of unity, togetherness and an everlasting bond with the pillars of the community.
The vote of thanks proposed by the anchors was followed by the soulful rendering of National Anthem which brought the curtain down.
