NGFS Alaknanda celebrated the WORLD EARTH DAY with great enthusiasm and zeal. A plethora of activities were organised in the school premises to create awareness about the necessity of environmental protection and various ways to combat the climate crisis. Special class assemblies were organised in both junior and senior wings. Class V enacted a didactic dance drama highlighting the significance of the small efforts that can be made to keep our Earth clean and green. Class X students put up a thought provoking stage presentation emphasizing the dire need of sustainable development through a 'Nukkad Natak' and a Skit depicting the remedies for the recovery of our ailing planet. The Eco Club of the school organised an array of activities on the theme of 'Save the Planet'. The activities comprised Poster Making, Recitation Competition, Waste to Worthy Products, Colouring Activity etc. The juniors also made a collage of the things that we get from plants. Class XI participated in the Article Writing on the topic 'HOW UNCOOL IS AIRCONDITIONER'. Overall all the activities made the children aware about the importance of contributing their bit to save the planet and how their small deeds can prove to be their best investment to help the  Mother Earth.
