Science enables learners to delve deeper into the realm of nature and to eradicate superstitions prevailing in the society. It ignites the spirit of understanding the laws of physical existence, judicious use of natural resources, paving way to evolve and develop through the systematic knowledge gained and verified through various experiments.
Horizon Club of New Green Field School, Alaknanda organised Science Week (28-11-2022 to 03-12-2022) with a motive to expand scientific temperament of learners, to make them more creative and critical thinkers as well as logical analysts. In the process students evolve and learn to adapt to their ever changing environment. The theme "Save Environment and Save Life" captivated the imagination of the young minds. The event provided the students of classes I to XI an opportunity to bring to life the concepts studied and deliberated on in the class rooms. The students deftly and zestfully showcased their ideas through various activities such as poster making on three topics -- "malnutrition free India", "reducing carbon footprint" and "wet land restoration", slogan writing on environment pollution, collage on bio diversity, card making on save our planet, and physics symposium. The science exhibition on Green Tech City by class XI stole the show.
The week long activities culminated with a special assembly -- a spectacular show on the stage. The programme began with the young ones from class I to III bringing Scientists alive followed by experiments conducted on the stage itself by class V students. The Dance drama displaying placards on 4Rs to save environment enamoured and enthralled the audience. Myriad performances of senior wing consisted of a skit on Bio-fortification - A solution to hunger, a group song on pollution and a foot tapping dance on Molecule Shape of You -- living body construction, mesmerised one and all in attendance brought the curtain down.
